Owner/Head Tutor for Beyond The Class

Provide online educational service for struggling students.  Student currently range from grade levels K-8th.  Create and present lessons using LearnCube online classroom.  Care for business finances such as generating invoices and receiving payments as well as social media and other promotional outlets.

Tennessee Virtual Academy - Teacher: Special Education 8th Grade. 

Teaching Language Arts and Math for students with special learning needs in 8th grade.  Virtual teaching, providing a safe and encouraging environment to learn and progress toward meeting individual goals. 

As a special education teacher, I held IEP meetings, wrote IEP, progress monitor students using a variety of programs.  (EasyCBM, Aimsweb, Star)

In home child care provider.  Provided care for children in my home.  Wrote lesson plans and promoted an at home educational environment.  Worked with 3 children, who are various ages and at different learning stages.

Mountain Youth Academy- Teacher-

Taught  technology and assisting with the afterschool reading program starting in the fall semester.  Mountain Youth Academy is a residential treatment facility for troubled youths. Assist the director of education/principal with updating technology and technology training for co workers.

 

November 2009- August 2011

Carter  County Schools-  Resource Teacher- Taught math, language arts and reading to students with special needs in the grades of kindergarten through fifth grade.   Wrote IEPs, held meetings and worked along side other school staff to ensure progress of my students.

 

May 2007- November 2009

Mountain Youth Academy-Teacher- Taught various classes during each semester.  Classes taught included language arts, creative writing, science and history.  Assisted the director of education/principal with IEP documentation and technology.

 

August 2006- May 2007

Johnson County Schools-Paraprofessional- Worked as a one on one aid with a student with special needs.  Helped the student with social development and class work.
